A bit about me

I was born and raised in the Far North. I was born in Kaeo, moved to Waiharara and attended Waiharara primary school and then Kaitaia college.  When I first left school I trained as a nurse and worked in Auckland for many years at Starship hospital. I moved back up north with my husband and children about 15 years ago and then studied to become a teacher. I have two beautiful adult children.

I love working with tamariki and I enjoy being a teacher.
I have been working in the New Entrant class at Mangonui for two years now. I have a passion for the play based approach to learning which allows children to learn and develop while they are immersed in play.

What I like doing in my spare time

I love doing outdoor activities like playing netball, swimming, mountain bike riding, paddle boarding, tramping and walking.
I really love reading too. Nothing beats a good book.
My goal is to do more art! This year I am going to art class in the evenings and I love it.
