Week 3 – Our Maths Race

To practise our forwards and backwards counting up to 20 we had a great big running race around the field, through the playground and finishing at the bottom of the slide. 

At the end of the race we received a medal from Whaea Turi.

We went back inside the classroom and decorated our medals then wrote the number of the place we came in the race. 

Then we had to stand in order from……..

smallest to biggest

and 

biggest to smallest

We learnt about numbers before and after up to 20 and wrote about who came before us and who came after us in the race.
