This year Mrs Pedersen and te Kotuku Classroom organised an amazing hangi for the school community. On Tuesday students prepared riwai, kumera, stuffing, pumpkin, kapiti and fried bread. The seniors dug the hangi pit and Terry and his team dropped off firewood. Wiremu Smith caught, killed and cut up the pig. Lydia organised the tables and distribution of kai onto plates. Over 200 meals were served! Thank you to Sheryl for the beautiful steam pudding and fried bread. Terry and his team for preparing and producing a beautiful hangi, Mereana for helping Tuatara make yummy fried bread. The day finished off with House Ki-o-rahi and then Teachers vrs Students Ki-o-rahi, and of course the teachers won!!!!
